Lanapa is our newest Material, a luxurious blend of the finest Merino's Wool and our original softest Hemp.

It features an elegant and sharp look knitted by our expert artisans in Emilia Romagna, Italy.

Size of the Scarf is very wrapping: 150cm x 30cm.

Several European and Asian studies demonstrates Hemp absorbs from 16 to 32kg of CO2 per KG of spun fibre: a record for any natural fibre. We considered 16kg in our calculations. From 1kg of Hemp, only 100 grams are useful for spun fibre.

Wool & Hemp processing

CO2 emitted for: cultivation and spinning of the Hemp plants grown for this product, Sheeps breeding and wool processing. One KG of spun Hemp emits from 0.004 to 0.006KG of CO2. We considered 0.1kg of CO2 emissions per KG of spun fibre for fibre transporation and other related emissions. From 1kg of Hemp, only 100 grams are useful for spun fibre. Wool is a polluting industry and emits at least 23kg per KG of spun wool.

Opera Campi has a massive impact on the planet, with each product.

We show detailed data about emissions, based on independent and authoritative studies. We kept the highest hypothesis regarding emissions, and most prudent ones when it comes to carbon sequestration. For example, for distribution costs we simulated emissions for shipment from Parma (Italy) to Los Angeles (USA), while most of our deliveries are made in Europe.

Plant Index

Plant Index is a rating from 1 to 10 given by Opera Campi to the plants quality used for this product's fabric. Higher the rating, cleaner is the texture of the fabric. Since we only choose the finest yarns, the index mostly depends on the season. Like a wine or any natural product, a good growing season influences positively the quality of the final product. We avoid chemical corrections on the fibre, we prefer transparency and our customers accept imperfection caused by nature.

Lanapa is our warmest invention. It's made out of 70% Fine Merino Wool and 30% our premium Hemp. This unique combination makes the fabric warm and sustainable throughout the cold seasons.
